F.A.Q.
Q: How much is the investment?
A: Investments vary based on your needs. For portraits, we do require a $450.00 minimum purchase, which is due when booking the session.
Wedding packages require a down payment of 50% or $500.00, whichever is higher, due when booking the session.
Q: How long does each session last?
A: A typical session lasts usually about an hour or two, depending on locations and clothing change. To ensure we are able to tell your full story, we do not limit time to capture a once a life time shot for you.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend that you wear solid colors, preferably long sleeve. Please avoid strips, shirts with logos (small logos okay) or writing. We also consider that you bring a solid white shirt, and a solid black shirt, in addition to your other clothing choices.
Q: What else should I bring?
A: Any item that tells your story! Many of our clients choose to bring in hobby interest such as skateboards, bats, basketballs, football gear, instruments, uniforms, ect. The possibilities are endless, if you ever need any ideas we will be more than happy to help you out!
Q: Do you charge a travel fee?
A: We want your portraits to be unique, so travel fees will be a fixed amount depending on location. We will travel anywhere within a 100 miles, but do require reimbursement of the fuel used (per IRS guidelines, currently $0.585 per mile). After 100 miles we will charge an additional fee.
Q: Why can't I have large number of shots during the photograph session?
A: A beautiful portrait photograph never comes from fast clicking fingers to meet the number of photographs, which are being requested. When a sports photographer capture the fast moving object, he produces a large number of photographs till the perfect shot is captured. A sucessful portrait photographer waits for the perfect shot to capture your unique expression on image. I rather have fewer good shots than waste your money on hundreds unusable pictures.
Q: When do I get to see my images?
A:Usually, we will have the raw images posted at www.pixtopic.com in the lightroom the day after the event. Final pictures will be available within a week in our gallery.
Q: Do you charge for editing ?
A: No. Before you receive any of your final images we ensure each image is professionally edited for color, exposure, noise reduction and any other necessary adjustment. Any editing / touchup you require to change the physical appearance of objects and persons in any of the photographs (i.e. removal of wrinkles, birth marks, any air brush work.) is subject to an charge of $75.00 per hour. If this service is required, we will both review the extent of these services to determine the total charge beforehand.
Q: How long until I receive my products?
A: Albums and photobooks usually require 4 to 6 weeks. Lead times for delivery of photo CD's depend on the amount of work you require for editing; standard service yields a lead time of approx. two weeks. You can order prints online directly from our gallery.
